The Torn Hills were once a beautiful place, but now they lie dead and silent. Situated beyond Coe Valley, it is said that a great battle was once fought here, and that the blood of a hundred injured wolves soaked into the earth of the hills, killing off all vegetation. Now, the rolling land lies barren and cold, and it is said that the howls of the wolves that died here can still sometimes be heard on the wind...

Coe Valley is a large, U-shaped depression in the earth, found between The Cliffs and Torn Hills. The ground here is covered in a thick blanket of soft grass, with a notable absence of any flowers. It is unclear why there seems to be such a rarity of flora, but the valley is a peaceful place, nonetheless.

The Cliffs can be found in the Northern section of Pursual. They can be reached via Coe Valley, and from atop them can be seen the The Northern Shores. The drop directly down from atop these cliffs is a perilous one, and a wolf would be wise to watch their footing around here...

The Chosen Meadow is a peaceful place, and wolves often claim that an odd sense of calm steals over them upon entering. Large prey is sparse here, but small mammals such as rabbits and mice are readily available.

This forest is largely comprised of weeping willows, as odd as that might seem, and the soft sighing sound that the branches of these trees make while swaying in the wind is what gives the place its name. Prey is plentiful, both of the large and small varieties, and the sunlight that filters down through the canopy lights the forest with a soft green, almost ethereal glow.

Blackwater Lake contains a peculiar sort of water, and as the name would suggest, it is black in colour. This is thought to be due to the presence of some sort of mineral found at the bottom of the lake, and it seems to be harmless when consumed. Still, it can give newcomers quite the shock when they first encounter it!

The River Haine meanders it's way slowly through the south of Pursual, and is by far the safest of the three main rivers. It is as gentle as the others are aggressive, and poses little threat to any but the very youngest of pups. The water is fairly shallow for the most part, with only a few places deepening out at all, and the riverbed is blanketed by countless small pebbles.

The Solitaire Mountains can be found at the very Southernmost point of Pursual. They are the single mountainous region in the land, and seem all the more impressive for it. Grey and faded purple rock makes up the craggy surface, while ivory snow caps the points reaching high into the sky. There are some scalable areas, and many ledges and small caves here, within which a wolf may shelter from weather of all kinds.

It is unclear quite how Dreamer's Crater of the South came into being, but it has been here for as long as the native wolves can remember. This is a cold place, and an odd scent of death seems to cling to the earth. The deep, bowl-shaped hollow rises up to tooth-like points at the rim, before dropping down a foot or so on the other side, back to level ground. It can be infuriatingly difficult, as well as dangerous, to get back out of the crater once one has fallen or jumped in.

The Swiftwater is by far the most dangerous of all the rivers in Pursual. The name indicates the most obvious problem here - the water flows very swiftly. However, this is not the only danger presented by The Swiftwater. There are many large, sharp rocks hidden just below the surface of the water, and to be carried away by the current makes it highly likely that a creature would be dashed against one of these rocks; a painful situation, to say the least.

Firefly Field is a peculiar area, to be sure. The ground is covered by an odd, soft yellow type of long grass, and is completely bare of trees. During the day, there does not seem to be a great deal out of the ordinary about this place, but come nightfall, thousands of fireflies emerge from the grasses and light the field with a warm glow. The effect that this has is to give the place an ethereal, almost magical feel every night.

Bluefin Lake is a large body of water found at the centre of the Western part of Pursual. Cool, clear water fills the lake, and the aquatic creatures within are varied and plentiful. The lake itself is bordered by soft, pale sand, and tall, thin reeds. Large prey animals will often stop by the lake for a drink, presenting convenient hunting opportunities.
