Druella You tried to be honest; But "honesty" blew it this time ♦ OOC; This is criminally short, since it's a rushed post. x__x All are welcome to join too. ^__^
IC; Her large paws carried her across the land as she approched this new place. Mixed scents hit her nose. They were the scents of other dogs. Her yellow-gold eyes observed the land. She leveled her gaze to stare around it. Truly remarkable, she had to admit.
She hung her head low, but not to the ground. Druella hadn't been though as much as some others, but still enough to traumatize her. She didn't really know where she was going, or what she was hoping to find. She just allowed the wind to take her. She was almost willing to let it take her whereever it wanted to go.
With the thoughts of her past surrounding her head, she continued to walk. Her past. Why was it she couldn't let go of it? It'd been almost a year. Druella had to let out a low chuckle to herself. It would probably take her more than a year to let it go. Nonetheless, she remained caucious of her surroundings.
Somehow the foreign soil treading below her paws felt extremely familiar. Even though she'd never been here before. Perhaps the vast beauty of the land had taken her back home. Before the war, before the fire, before all of that shit.

With only four members to make up the pack thus far, and with it being as relatively new as it was, it was necessary that the scents marking out the borders be strengthened regularly, lest it be unclear to other wolves that this land had been claimed. So it was that the large, behemoth of an Alpha found himself trotting through the forest, panting lightly.
It was as he was re-entering the trees after reaching a small clearing that the scent hit him. Letting out a low, quiet growl, he swung his body in it's direction and took off at a run. It took him only a few moments to reach the trespasser, long strides eating up the ground as they did, and he puffed up his fur as he approached. Catching sight of a small blue back, the male cleared his throat, stopping a few feet away from the stranger.
"You there!" He called, tone cool but not hostile. "Are you aware that you're on pack-land?" The larger wolf knew that it would be easy for the stranger to lie and say no, even if they in fact had been fully aware, but he would be willing to accept the answer the smaller one gave regardless.

Druella You tried to be honest; But "honesty" blew it this time ♦ "You there!"
She'd heard the loud, dominant voice. She turned around to see who'd called out. A large, green male; possibly the alpha. Druella blinked her yellow-gold eyes as she looked to him. Druella didn't have much of a look on her face; nothing but a blank look. All she wanted to do was pass through undetected; but obviously wasn't the case now.
"Are you aware that you're on pack-land?"
His words were firm, yet calm. Druella lowered her brow, staring him straight in the face. "Yes, I am aware," she said. She didn't show any sign of fear, though deep down; she truly was afraid. She'd encountered alphas before, but none like this one. "I'm a traveller just passing through".
Druella really didn't feel like speaking to anyone today, or tomorrow, or any day for that matter. Then again, it was pretty stupid of her to walk into pack-land without expecting anybody to discover her there. Most of the time nobody had discovered her; however, she had to also expect getting caght sooner or later by a pack wolf. Druellacouldn't understand it. Why bother with a pack? It'll eventually just break and crumble sooner or later. Besides, what good is a life without it's adventures and journeys? Where was the action?

Ordinarily warm sienna eyes narrowed and cooled as the male stepped up to stand beside the loner. "It is considered polite," he stressed the word. "To wait at the borders to be greeted, should you wish to cross pack lands. After all," at this he gentled his voice somewhat. "We have our pack's safety to think of."
Sighing gently, Impact pushed back his shoulders and raised his head high. "Anyway, you're here now. I will walk with you to the edge of the territory." His tone was not commanding, per say, but it held the authority of a confident Alpha. "Now, which way were you headed?"
Throughout this exchange, the large male had been taking in the female's appearance. She was a pretty little thing, but that went largely unnoticed by the Alpha, grieving for his lost mate as he was. Her fur was a deep, rich blue, and her face was marked with grey from forehead to nose, with white patches surrounding her eyes. Delicate ears were a dark grey, and golden eyes held a blank, dead look, detracting from their brilliance only a little. He noticed last that one hind leg was ringed with a couple of shades of grey, and the tail was tipped with a lighter shade of her base colour.

Druella You tried to be honest; But "honesty" blew it this time ♦ "It is considered polite," he stressed the word.
She listened to his words as he spoke them. "Polite," she began, "I suppose you are right". After all, had she been in his position, she wouldn't want her here without permission either.
"To wait at the borders to be greeted, should you wish to cross pack lands. After all, we have our pack's safety to think of."
Again, she listened. The words he spoke were reasonable. "Your pack's safety," she repeated. Her words were dry and flat as she spoke them. Almost a year without a pack, and the memories of her's were coming back. She saw the pack's territory ablaze. It flashed to the sight of her father's burning body, yelling at her to run.
"Anyway, you're here now. I will walk with you to the edge of the territory. Now, which way were you headed?"
The vision faded, and Druella came back to reality. "Which way?" Druella seemed to ask, but didn't expect an answer in return. "Well, I don't know really, I kind of just wander aimlessly, y'know"? Her voice remained flat, almost toneless. She kept her eyes to his, almost staring through him. "I lost my old pack to a fire four years ago". Druella didn't really know why she bothered to tell him. After all, he didn't have much of a reason to care about her past; considering he barely knew her.

His head remained high, and his fur still stood on end a little, but it was easing into a more unconscious dominance now. Sure, he may not be receiving an apology, but the blue-green male wasn't particularly fussy. besides, he got the feeling that this she-wolf was damaged in some way, her thought patterns were perhaps a little different to his own right now.
She sounded peculiar when she repeated his words concerning pack safety, and he shot her a sharp look from the corner of his eye, before smiling and nodding. "Yes," he confirmed firmly. "I would lay down my life for this pack, should they need it. My role has forever been one of the protector, and now that I have a pack of my own to provide for, that's not going to change."
The large male cocked an ear as he caught the other wolf's words, and chuckled a little as she admitted to not really having had a direction in mind. The laughter died in his throat though when she made eye contact and stated in dead tones that her pack had been killed thanks to a fire four years earlier. Impact laid down his ears and whined sympathetically in response. "I'm sorry," he replied, moving to press his nose gently against the side of her cheek, in an attempt at comfort. "That must have been heartbreaking."
Pulling back, so as not to make her uncomfortable, Impact cocked his head to the side before speaking. "If you've got no particular destination in mind, then you're welcome to take refuge with us for a while, should you wish?" Here, Impact's eyes grew warm, with a gentle smile. "Perhaps you'll grow fond of us, and decide it might be worth putting your faith in another pack."

"I would lay down my life for this pack, should they need it. My role has forever been one of the protector, and now that I have a pack of my own to provide for, that's not going to change."
His words really got to her; so much that she had to hold back a tear or two. Druella scanned them deeper as he spoke them. "That's really, uh..." her words trailed off, barely even able to find which ones were appropriate. "That's really moving," Druella finally said. She hadn't heard words like that since her alpha spoke them. In the end, they'd came true.
"I'm sorry, that must have been heartbreaking."
Druella felt his nose press against her cheek. She looked down towards it, letting out a small smile. "It's okay" Druella said as she brought the tone back into her voice. "I don't understand why I'm letting it get to me so much, to be honest, nor why I'm letting it keep me cut off from others". She truly didn't understand. It was four years ago; she should be over it by now.
"If you've got no particular destination in mind, then you're welcome to take refuge with us for a while, should you wish?" Perhaps you'll grow fond of us, and decide it might be worth putting your faith in another pack."
She noted his eyes and smile as she looked to him. Did he really mean it? She seemed to chuckle; another smile creeping across her face. "Well," Druella began. She paused, however, to think it through. After four years of being alone, was it really worth "putting her faith" into another pack? She took in a deep breath, letting it out through her nose. "Why not," she finally said. "I guess I'll stay for a while, and see how well it goes over". Who knows, maybe starting a new life won't be so hard.
